Thought for the Day

Make every day count……..it is easy to fall into the trap of believing you have all kinds of time, given the days ahead of you.  But in reality, a great life is made up of many well lived days.  Each day we welcome, gives us another possibility to be our best, to give our best, and to do so with honesty, integrity and kindness.  When we make a commitment to bring our passion for living to each day we have on earth,  we show gratitude for our lives.  So it’s important to make the most of the gift of life while we can enjoy it.  To not allow the narrators in our head to talk us out of our decisions and move us away from our hearts yearning.

There are many potential influences and so we must distil the negative nagging thoughts that make us question what our heart knows we must do.  When the lessons come in the form of gifts, we must open them, we must examine them, and we must utilize the wisdom that is sent to us, before it is carried away.  Deceptive intelligence plays a key role in undoing our commitments and dreams.  It arrives and keeps us thinking, it plays should have, would have, could have, with us and makes us see things that are not there, and believe things that are not true.  Life’s riches lie in our steadfast commitment to do our best.  Because trying times are no time to quit trying.

Emerson said “The days come and go like muffled and veiled figures sent from a distant, friendly party, but they say nothing, and if we do not use the gifts they bring, they carry them as silently away.”
