Thought for the Day ~ By Lisa Scott Life Coach

Always do your best…….be decisive and action oriented.  Too often people talk about their intentions, their commitments to the things they want in their life but these chats just become statements of preference, not real commitments with decisions and actions attached to them.  It’s as if we say “I want this, but I don’t want to have to do anything to get it” – this is a powerless way of living…..and it amounts to a weak prayer without the faith to launch it.  You know what you have to do to get the life you want…..there is no easy path, no waiting to see what happens.  Life is happening right now, and if you don’t pay attention and make decisions that are aligned with the life you want….then you’ll get what you get.

Deep in your consciousness lies your truth…..your desires, your dreams, and your blueprint for the life that you want for yourself.  Years go by quickly and if we don’t pay attention to this place of honesty and clarity, then we end up living the same day over and over for our entire lifetime.  Part of being a great role model, parent, spouse, and friend is to lead by example….to show those around you, strong self-esteem that considers both the quality of your life experience and your right as a human being to live your best life.  That way, each day becomes an adventure and an opportunity to forge the life we dreamed of….so go to that place of truth today, dust off your dreams, and take the first steps towards making them come true.  That’s living!

Anthony Robbins said “In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions.  It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.  Everything that happens in your life – both what you’re thrilled with and what you’re challenged by – began with a decision.  I believe it’s in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.  The decisions that you’re making right now, every day, will shape how you feel today as well as who you’re going to become in the future.  Using the power of decision gives you the capacity to get past any excuse to change any and every part of your life in an instant.”
