Thought for the Day ~ By Lisa Scott Life Coach

Always do your best…….find ways to help this world heal and find peace.  That healing always begins with us.  It begins with an honest assessment of how you move through life.  Do you live primarily within the narrow confines of what satisfies you and meets your needs? Does your heart say I’m ok, so I don’t care about that issue. Or do you endeavour to do the best possible thing, for the good of all concerned?   Do you serve this world with Love?  We get a little closer to our best selves when we let go of the need to chase success, and replace it with a life dedicated to finding significance.  It allows us to live in a purposeful and fulfilling way.  We feel more connected to ourselves, each other, and the larger source of energy, called life.

Once we understand this important truth then we can realize our own greatness.  We can see the world as it is, not as we are.  Happiness is not a destination; it is a state you create with your actions and deeds.  It comes from your commitment to spending some of your time making the lives of others a little better, a little easier.  It is in essence, the ability to live beyond yourself and to care enough to make a difference in this world.  Mother earth is in pain, her people are suffering, and in every corner of this beautiful planet there is a need for a helping hand.  It takes a village to raise a child……..what have you done for your village?

Richard Templar said “This goes farther than just being good, being for glory not degradation.  This is about positive, affirmative action.  Look, if we don’t take some action then this world , this fabulous planet of ours, is going to hell in a handcart.  Planet earth has no tourists.  We all have to start being a part of the solution now, and stop adding to the mayhem, the destruction, the problem.  If you want your life to feel right, to be good, to be successful and mean something, you have to put something back.  You have to reinvest in life and that means caring and wanting things to get better.  We have to ask ourselves:  Is this world a richer place for me being in it?  Will I leave it a better place than when I came into it?  Have I given back?”
