Always be decisive………make a decision and watch your life move forward. Some people try to build consensus and then make a decision. Successful leaders make a decision and then build consensus as they share their vision. We all know that many great ideas were rejected at their inception…..but those leaders stayed focused and determined to realize them. This is true in life too. If we are vacillating about our decisions then the energy that we put out is confusing and perceived as weak. So it’s important to find moments where you can get clear about the way forward. Whether those decisions are personal or professional; we must commit to them and see them through. Because to make a decision and then falter on it, is just as bad as not making a decision.
Your ego wants everyone to feel good about your decisions before you can feel like you have the energy to make them happen. Do not listen. One or two naysayers don’t represent critical mass…..it is you who has to be ok with what you decide….you need to be committed to making it happen, and when you show that leadership in your life, then people will follow. They will respond to your confidence, to your passion, and to your honesty. So there can be no hesitation. That means we cannot wait around for other people to make up our minds for us. It means stepping out on faith, knowing that all will be ok because you are taking action. Because you have made a decision.
