Thought for the Day ~ By Lisa Scott Life Coach

Always do your best……..you are playing on the court of life, hopefully you have come to win.  Every day we are presented with new opportunities, new choices, and the time to be grateful for our lives and all the goodness in it.  While there will be sad days, days where we find ourselves in the valley of life, days where life happens in ways we never imagined, we cannot stay in the valley. We must lift ourselves up and remember all the things that we are grateful for, and rejoice in the little steps that we take towards the life we imagine.  Knowing what we have to do is not enough; we must do what we know every day and that means embracing change when it shows up on our doorstep.

Because when you resist change, you resist the present moment and so you cannot realize the goodness that is waiting for you.  Change is our greatest ally in moving forward and reaching our goals and yet so many individuals, corporations and communities resist it, justifying their current strategies by pointing to the success they now enjoy.  What if new ways of thinking and doing are required in order to produce a new level of personal and professional success.  So be grateful for what you have accomplished, for where you are now in life, for the friends and family that surround you, for the love you have for them, and for the magic that waits for you in every day.  Start today by making a list of 10 things you are grateful for…..read it over and then on the wings of those good feelings – open yourself to receive new information and finding new paths of discovery.

Robin Sharma said “So stay centred on all the good in your life, and you’ll find it will grow.  Suffering in life is really nothing more than the difference between the way things are and the way you imagine they should be.  If you can come to accept the blessings of your present reality without always feeling that your life is hollow as compared to the lives of others, you will have taken a quantum leap towards enlightenment.  Really commit to becoming a person who lives life in a constant state of gratitude and positive expectation.  Dream big dreams, but also savour the place where you find yourself to be an any time.”
