Thought for the Day ~ By Lisa Scott Life Coach

Always do your best………you tell your story with your behaviour.  Your actions and reactions are writing the chapters of your life story and while there can be moments of greatness, if they are over shadowed with poor choices, and bad behaviour then it diminishes the goodness and people’s perception of who you are.  Perception is driven by what people experience when they are with you…..not just your favourite people who seem to get the best of you, but everyone’s experience counts in the writing of your story.

Behind the loss of control that manifests in anger, sadness or despair is fear, but you cannot assist a wounded person when they cannot or will not see that they are wounded. We are talking about the kind of wounds that are deep inside, the kind that cripple a spirit even though that person puts on a good face most of the time. We can sometimes see this kind of pain in others because we have experienced it ourselves and we want to help…….what is important is not to push anyone beyond where they are willing to go…..we must let them know we are there and when they want to be healed, they will be healed.

Dr Wayne Dyer said ” Behaviour is a much better barometer of what you are than your words.  If you practice maintaining your composure, and remember that someone else’s behaviour belongs to that person and cannot upset you unless you allow it to do so, then you will not become an unwilling target. Enlightened people move away from conflict and confrontation.”
