Always do your best…….manage your thoughts because they have a profound effect on how your day will play out.  See if you can catch yourself complaining, constantly referring to how busy you are, or how much you need to make time for yourself, or how bad the weather is…..complaining in either speech or thought is non-acceptance of what is.  Complaining does not change your experience in that moment, it ensures that it will continue.  Taking action is what will set you free.

When you react to anything, you are reacting with your feelings and as you do, you are choosing your reaction.  If you are feeling sad, disappointed or frustrated….or any negative feeling then you are looking at the world through the filter of your feelings and you cannot see anything good through bad feelings. Changing the way you feel is easy compared to trying to change the circumstances of the outside world.  Change your feelings and thoughts and you will change your experience. We see the world not as it is, but rather as we are.

Stephen Covey said “The environment you fashion out of your thoughts, your beliefs, your ideals, and your philosophy is the only climate you will ever live in that is inside your control. Reactive people are often affected by their physical environment.  If the weather is good they feel good.  If it isn’t it affects their attitude and their performance.  Proactive people can carry their own weather with them.  Whether it rains or shines makes no difference to them.”
