Thought for the Day ~ Follow your Own Path

Always be true to yourself……take action out of self-love and create a peaceful world.  Some days feel right and other days seem a little off kilter. If we examine ourselves closely; we will see that the days that feel the best, are the days when we are being totally authentic.  We are present in each moment and we make conscious and loving choices that honour who we truly are.  We learn to say no with grace;  and in so doing, we nurture that part of ourselves that can sometimes become confused about whether to be a people pleaser by saying yes, when all we really want to say is no.

Life is no coincidence, it is a reflection of you and your choices.  It is said that we see the world as we are, not as it is….so we carry the world with us and we are the ones who must choose our place in that world.  You may succeed at life if nobody else believes in you, but you will never succeed if you don’t believe in yourself.  So we cannot depend on the opinion of others, we must make our own way.  Because if you don’t have a solid plan for your own life, you will become a part of someone else’s. So be authentic, honour and love who you are in the moment.   Leave your own footprint in your time, and always remember that most of life’s challenges come from not truly knowing ourselves  and ignoring our virtues.   Today, dare to be who you are…….

Don Miguel Ruiz Jr.  said “From the Toltec standpoint, a clean mirror is when you see every situation in life exactly as it is, unclouded by the smoke of your beliefs and viewpoints.  From this place of clarity, you are aware that the act of engaging in life is an act of love; and consciously choosing the way you want to live is an act of unconditional love for yourself.  Approaching your life as a work of art based on self-love allows you to move in any direction you choose.  You are not bound to domestication, nor do you feel the need to domesticate others to see things from your point of view. You consider your options, and your actions are genuine.”
