Thought for the Day ~ Live your best Life

Always do your best………many of us spend our lives in an attempt to preserve what is.  When life gets tough and we can feel the winds of change blowing.  For some of us fear takes over our guidance system and all we want to do is fight our way back to what was.  The place we knew.  The people we counted on.  Even if those people and places were not supporting us in living our best life.  Fear makes us cling to our problems, it makes us want to undo our decision making and retreat to our comfort zone.  It may council us to look outward, to find temporary lifts in our life through a shallow focus on giving the appearance that all is well in the kingdom.  But none of these actions will give us true freedom from our problems.

To gain that we must go inward and really focus on what we know in our hearts.  We must be brutally honest with ourselves because we know that you cannot change what you do not acknowledge.  If you will take the time, you will see the patterns in your life.  You will see where you pulled the veil over your pain and marched on without administering some loving care.  You will see how that pain body keeps making choices for you, and how you keep making excuses for your choices.  It will be difficult for you to use your pain as a vehicle for growth.  But it is imperative if you want to end the patterns that keep you bound to a life that doesn’t satisfy your soul.  Today, take the first step towards honouring your authentic self, the one who knows, the one who gently reminds you to follow your dreams.

Michael Singer said “The spiritual journey is one of constant transformation.  In order to grow, you must give up the struggle to remain the same, and learn to embrace change at all times.  One of the most important areas requiring change is how we solve our personal problems.  We normally attempt to solve our inner disturbances by protecting ourselves.  Real transformation begins when you embrace your problems as agents for growth.  It turns out that the life of protecting yourself from your problem becomes a perfect reflection of the problem itself.  If you don’t solve the root cause of the problem, but instead, attempt to protect yourself from the problem, it ends up running your life.”
