Thought of the Day

Good Morning,

Always do your best……focus on what you want. Whatever we put our energy and focus on, grows. So it is important to be mindful, and to catch ourselves on that slippery slope of negativity before it takes hold. When we are consumed with thoughts that are negative or judgemental, it is usually a sign that we are not taking action. We are staying in our heads, and therefore we are enabling the very things that consume us with negativity. A powerful lesson for all of us to learn, is that we experience what we tolerate. No amount of talking about situations and people is going to change them. Taking action and releasing ourselves from the drama in our heads is the only way we can alter our reality. Because stress is a very real affliction and it can lead to mental and physical illness. Stress is your bodies way of saying, things are not good.

You need to decompress, and breathe, and bring yourself to a healthier place. Mindfulness helps us immensely. It forces us to acknowledge where we are, and how we sound….it holds the mirror up and lets us see ourselves as others see us. With this acknowledgement, we are able to implement change. Because in our hearts we know, that we can complain all day about a situation, but it won’t change a thing, except our well being. The only way out is through….and that means managing our monkey minds and bringing ourselves to a better place. That means focusing on remaining centred and calm. It means summoning tranquility by being impeccable with our words and feelings. No matter how stressful a situation is, you either make it better or worse. That’s a choice and when in doubt; listen to your own heart, it will never lie to you.

Jack Canfield said “Every time we are negative about someone else, we are actually affecting ourselves. Every time you judge someone else, it’s just a projection of our own self-judgment. Parts of ourselves we don’t accept. Parts of ourselves we won’t give permission to express. And so basically, it’s the old thing, when you’re pointing your finger, there’s three fingers pointing back. So I always tell people that whatever you focus on, you get more of it. So if I’m gossiping about someone that I’m  judging or being negative about, then I’m actually creating more negativity inside of me, and I’m not focusing on what I want.”
