Thought of the Day

Good Morning,

Happy Wednesday. Have a wonderful day and a great long weekend. Enjoy.

Always do your best……..blend humility with will and you will soar.  It’s important to have a strong will. One that pushes you gently to get things done.  One that can prioritize and put its energy where it is best utilized.  A strong will can see us through the bad times and spur us on in the good times. When we blend that strong will to thrive with humility, it is a powerful combination.  Possessing humility is the ability to be as interested in other people as you are yourself.  Humility allows us to distance ourselves from ego.  It gives us an objective perspective that considers the well being of those we travel through life with every day. Ego is consumed with self.

Ego will constantly draw comparisons between itself and others.  It will tell you to pursue the money and the stuff so that you can fill yourself up.  But it won’t, you will be an empty vessel.  We need to know what counts and what doesn’t in this game of life.  Being here counts. Being a good person who considers the feelings and self-esteem of others counts.  Feeling the joy that comes from being in great company counts. Developing our knowledge, caring about the world counts.  With the powerful combination of humility and will we can accomplish anything. After all if your soul is the only thing you are taking with you when you go,  so it ought to be the best part of you. So decide quietly in your heart to live your best life every day, no matter what life deals you.  With that decision…everything else will fall in to place.

Cheryl Strayed said “The universe I’d learned, was never ever kidding.  It would take whatever it wanted and never give it back.  I learned that you don’t have a right to the cards you should have been dealt. You have an obligation to play the hell out of the ones you’re holding. Humility is about refusing to get all tangled up with yourself.  It’s about surrender, receptivity, awareness, simplicity.  Breathing in, Breathing out.”
