Thought of the Day

Good Morning,

Happy Tuesday. Have a wonderful day. Enjoy.

Always do your best……take the time to be alone. That doesn’t mean being alone with your computer or phone;  with the world at your fingertips. It means spending time completely alone and completely unplugged. In fact our ability to spend time in our own company is a barometer for our health and wellness. The need to constantly be around people, or be entertained reveals the spaces that need healing in us.  And the inability to unplug is showing us that we lack the discipline to do it  Being alone with our own company, content to just be in the moment is something that we can all benefit from. It allows us to connect with the power of nature, and its majestic silence.  It reminds us of how strong we are, when we need to be. In some measure it allows us to claim what we have lost.

Because, we are able to replenish our soul with blissful time alone where our only focus is on ourselves. Where we can do the things that have slipped away from us; like reading, writing, listening to favourite music or just being alone with our thoughts. It is a place we can go to, whenever we need to just be. Meditation is the key to our stillness; it is the spiritual process of stilling the body and mind to align to the physical and spiritual being.  It is also the way that we can find our way back to self. It is the opportunity to make contact with our spirit and our soul. It is a powerful and natural remedy when we feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and frustrated. It is an excellent way to train the mind and nurture the spirit. So take the time to be alone, go to that place, repair, rejuvenate, and rest. Namaste.

Cheryl Strayed said “Alone had always felt like an actual place to me, as if it weren’t a state of being, but rather a room where I could retreat to be who I really was.”
