Be humble……..there is something very special about being in the presence of humility. Humble people radiate respect and show us that there is always much to learn in this life with their inquisitive minds, and openness to gaining knowledge and growing beyond what they already know. Humble people are quietly intelligent and they walk with an aura of peace and serenity, not needing to impress. They are not boastful or arrogant; they do not dominate conversations and they withhold judgment so that they can truly listen and learn from others.
Humble people understand that unless they try something beyond what they have already mastered, they will not grow. They listen to the messages that quietly whisper to all of us and they act on them. When life hurts, when it baffles and confuses. When it doesn’t quite work. These are signs that tell us that something important, something really, really important, is being misunderstood. Humility allows us to listen, learn, and grow on life’s journey. Humility is the greatest of all virtues….because it leads us to all the others.
Robin Sharma said “One of the traits I respect most in people is humility. The tree that has the most fruit is the tree that bends to the ground, my father taught me as I was growing up. And though there are some exceptions, I have found in my own experience that it is true – the people who know the most, who have achieved the most and who have lived the most are also the people closest to the ground. In a word they are humble.”
