Happy New Year! Have a great start to your week. Enjoy your Monday.
Today’s Challenge….It’s a New Year, be committed to being the best human being that you can be.
Always do your best…….take actions that are aligned with your values. Sometimes we feel out of integrity with ourselves. We know that things don’t feel right, but rather than looking internally, we blame others for our experiences. The truth is we will always experience what we tolerate. So we all need boundaries for how we will each engage with our world, and what we will permit others to do. There is a quiet strength in the person who can model strong leadership, no matter the environment. But when we remain silent, in the face of bad behaviour, we subjugate ourselves and people cross our boundaries. They mess with our internal guidance system and leave our resolve weakened. We all go through desert periods….where you just survive life.
But, realize the valuable lessons you learn during those times….endurance, patience, resilience, and acceptance. These lessons support our internal health. Because when we are quiet in our soul, when we can summon a great attitude and wipe the frantic negativity away, love and happiness find us. Standing in our power is to always remember that we must nurture our own spirit throughout our life. We must set boundaries, and then model behaviour from that place. In essence, as Ghandi taught us, we must be the change we need and want to see. So no matter where you are, in school, at work, in your community or your family….treat people well, and require others to do the same. With renewed energy, and a brand New Year ahead of you…..open your heart…..and stay committed to being the very best that you can be and give others the space to do the same.
Iyanla Vanzant said “Life will work for me when I realize …I will continue feeling bad until my attitude improves. Life is sometimes hard, there are challenging situations, but we must remember. Your external world is an accurate reflection of your internal state of being. Believe it or not your inner life is the source of everything that manifests around you. Consequently, your life will always let you know when there is something “inside” that requires your attention. Your inner life must be cleansed, strengthened, and well ordered. You are responsible for bringing about the things you desire. Begin within and allow all the things you know how to be, to blossom into the truth of who you are.”
