Thought of the Day

Good Morning,

Happy Wednesday. Have an awesome day. Enjoy.

Always do your best……set great intentions for every day. Because intentions are the energy of your soul coming in contact with your reality. Life is going to challenge us from time to time and when it does we are reminded of the importance of mindfulness and setting our intentions with clarity and positive energy. Clarity precedes mastery. When we are clear about what we have to do, and how, we reclaim our power. There is no question that life will frustrate us as much as it brings us joy. Mindfulness allows us to see the guideposts that are being presented and respond accordingly. If a situation isn’t working, interrupt your feelings of frustration and anger, and reframe your thinking by asking could this be happening for a reason? What am I meant to take away from this moment? Because if you reflect, and recall other times you were frustrated, you will remember that something positive came out of it,  and you will have clarity again.

Letting people see us, truly see us, is sometimes frightening and the reason why we will dodge and weave to avoid vulnerability. Weakness in people will cause them to point the finger of blame anywhere but at themselves. But the truly great among us, fess up when they mess up. They use their knowledge of people and are sensitive to how unique each of us is, and they know how to meet people where they live. They have great empathy and can read where people are emotionally….and they know what they need to do to support them. There is both a  task orientation and a wholeheartedness in their brand. The biggest myth is that we multi task….. in reality, the brain just switches really quickly between thoughts and it does the same with emotions. You choose what you focus on at any given moment, so choose wisely. As you begin your day today; clear your mind of all the noise and upheaval in your world and make time stand still….then you can slow down and pay attention to your thoughts.

Brene Brown said “The most transformative leaders that I’ve worked with have three things in common. First, they recognize the central role that relationships and story play in culture and strategy, and they stay curious about their own emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. Second, they understand and stay curious about how emotions, thoughts, and behaviours are connected in the people they lead, and how those factors affect relationships and perception. And third, they have the ability and willingness to lean in to discomfort and vulnerability.”
