Today’s Challenge……Start your day in stillness.
Always do your best…….make time each day to meditate. The famous scientist Blaise Pascal observed “All man’s miseries derive from not being able to sit quietly in a room alone.” It’s true, we all need moments of silence and stillness in our daily lives, in order to keep balance and serenity within our reach. Moments that are dedicated to preserving our wellbeing; for it is in these moments of silence, that we become more aware of the value of peace. It is where we realize that, peace begins with us. So, we have to commit to creating space in our busy schedules to just be. To consciously breathe in and out, letting our thoughts gently come and go with our breath. Because peace sustains you from the inside.
Tranquility can be achieved, by simply allowing the mind to become quiet. It is when we recognize that the best things come to us when we can be calm and tranquil and that choosing to do so is a choice. It does not mean that life won’t be wobbly at times. It will, but you can always choose how you respond to it. In nature there is no storm that is not followed by calm. So it is with our lives. Start each day in stillness and solitude and allow nature to teach you about peace. Notice the silence and your breath, feel the pure pleasure that comes with stillness. Know that when you lose touch with the part of you that can mindfully connect to peace, you will lose touch with yourself. Stillness and meditation are the only ways to reconnect you with your nature…… because serenity never comes as a reward for sacrifice. Namaste
Dr Wayne Dyer said “When you’re at peace, you radiate a different kind of energy than when you’re stressed or depressed. The more peaceful you become, the easier you can deflect the negative energies of those you encounter. This is like having an invisible shield around you that nothing can penetrate unless it’s at a higher spiritual energy than your shield. A hostile current is greeted with a smile and an inner knowing that this is not your stuff. A person who attempts to bring you into misery cannot succeed without your agreement. Your meditation practice keeps you immune. Meditation not only affects you, it impacts everyone around you.”
