Daily Challenge…..Set a personal goal today….something that you have to do for yourself, something you have to change in order to live your best life.
Always do your best……live your best life. This is not a dress rehearsal…you don’t get a do over, this is it, this is your life. This brilliant space is here for you to shine your light. None of us know how long we will have, but while we are blessed with life and breath then we owe it to ourselves and the world to step into each day with pure joy. For nothing is accomplished when we dwell in our misery, pain, and disappointment. Because when we do it is as if we have surrendered all our joy, for an idea about ourselves, that isn’t true anymore. We must recognize that we are multi faceted….that we are not just our relationships, our work, or our roles, we are compassionate human beings who are wired for connection.
There is so much more to life than our work. To excel there certainly helps, but to excel there and fail as a human being is a waste of your light. When we are committed to living a whole hearted life, we understand that our skill set must be a powerful combination of knowledge, humility, and compassion. Because if we only use our knowledge towards one part of our lives . We will have great knowledge and a tiny heart. So make time for friends, family, and colleagues….don’t be so focused on one area of your life, that you forget to live. There are no awards handed out for working more than you live….only regrets. So today, pay more attention to the good stuff.
Robin Sharma said “When I was growing up, my father said something to me I will never forget; Son, when you were born, you cried while the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a way that when you die the world cries while you rejoice. We live in an age when we have forgotten what life is all about. We can easily put a person on the moon, but we have trouble walking across the street to meet a new neighbour. We have e-mail, fax, digital phones so that we can stay connected, but we live in a time when human beings have never been less connected. We have lost touch with our humanity. We have lost touch with our purpose. We have lost sight of the things that matter most.”
