Always do your best……..to keep learning. Life gets busy and with that busyness we sometimes adopt bad habits, and neglect ourselves in the process. Academic learning is only the first phase of our learning, being committed and open to learning our whole lives requires discipline and commitment. Reading is one of the best gifts we can give to ourselves, because it nurtures our spirit and introduces us to all kinds of wisdom and thought leadership that we otherwise wouldn’t encounter.
You can live the same day over and over for 75 years or you can live each day to its fullest by learning and growing every opportunity that you get. We are here to learn and expand through the work that we do, the actions that we take, and the lives we lead. Building your knowledge, allowing yourself to adjust your point of view and your beliefs about life, can only be accomplished through your commitment to learning. Racing through life, barely able to fit everything in a day, never making time for nurturing your intellect will just insure that you are on the treadmill of life with what you know. To live richly and completely we must honour each day, count our blessings, and learn as much as we can from the fabric of our lives and the pages of good books. Read every day……..
Robin Sharma said “There’s a cure for aging that no one talks about. It’s called learning. In my mind as long as you learn something new each day, stretch your personal frontiers and improve the way you think, you cannot grow old. Aging only happens to people who lose their lust for getting better and disconnect from their natural base of curiosity. One idea discovered in one book can change the way you see the world, or transform the way you communicate. Never leave home without a book in your hand.”
