Dedicated to all who are experiencing unplanned detours in their lives right now….this one’s for you.
Always do your best…..especially when life takes a turn you weren’t expecting. Some days, it is so very difficult to process some of the bumps in the road of life. We don’t see those turns in the road ahead of us and when they happen, they can leave us lost, and fearful about what will happen next. That is the time to remember how brave we have been before. It is the time to recall that we have made it through 100% of what life has thrown at us. In reflection we can remind ourselves that we have the courage to do what we have to do.
Because the only way out is through. So lean into your vulnerability. Trust that you will be able to make it through and come out better for it. Every time we resolve one of life’s curve balls, we build our strength, stamina, resilience, and courage to face another day. So when life is wobbly, be still, go to a place where you can be alone with your thoughts. Take the time to figure out what actions you will take. Replace all of your worry with patience, because although your patience may not solve all of your problems, worry won’t solve any of them. So allow your mind to settle and know that the best journeys are not always in straight lines.
Cheryl Strayed said “Your life will be a great and continuous unfolding. You will come to know things that can only be known with the wisdom of age and the grace of years. You go on in tough times by doing the best you can. You go on by being generous. You go on by being true. You go on by offering comfort to others who can’t go on. You go on by allowing the unbearable days to pass, and by allowing pleasure in other days. This isn’t a spotless life. There is much ahead, my immaculate peach. “
