Thought for the Day ~ By Lisa Scott Life Coach

Always do your best………treat people well.  Each morning as a new day begins you have the opportunity to begin anew, to welcome the dawn with a promise to be kind, compassionate, and loving as you move throughout your day.  The voice of love is calling to each one of us.  It is whispering gently into our hearts, reminding us that love offers us everything that we need to do our best.   Beginning with ourselves.   In moments of stillness and reflection….work on your heart, your mind, your behaviour, and the self-destructive notions that you have about love.  Resist the labelling and judging that does not come from love….but from ego.

Love does not evolve and grow out of setting conditions, limits, and restrictions on ourselves or others.  Love doesn’t come with conditions …..it is born out of being honest about who we are and allowing those we love to do the same.  Love doesn’t require people to prove they care….it requires you to be clear about your beliefs.  Love is simply the key that allows you to unlock your own heart and just be.  Loving relationships are only  possible if  we  love and trust ourselves…..so ask yourself whether you believe you are loved, loving, and loveable.  It all begins with you being present and loving towards yourself….then you can share those good feelings.

Stephen R. Covey said “People are very tender, very sensitive inside.  I don’t believe age or experience makes much difference.  Inside, even within the most toughened and calloused exteriors, are the tender feelings and emotions of the heart.  Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply.  They’re either speaking or preparing to speak.  They’re filtering everything through their own paradigms, reading their autobiography into other people’s lives.  People behave more on the basis of how they feel than how they think.  Unless there are good feelings between people it is almost impossible to reason intelligently.”
