Choose carefully…….learning what to choose, and how to choose, may be the most important education you will ever receive. We are making choices all day long; some of them are automatic in that we have a pattern of thinking that is actually set as our default, some of the choices are more conscious and may be circumstantial, but they allow us to see the potential for control in our own lives. When we become more aware then we discover how many choices we actually can and do make.
Awareness also allows us to connect to our fear…..because behind the hesitancy to make a decision, the extended deliberation, is fear. Fear is an emotion that is often invisible to us; we deny its existence and yet if we are honest with ourselves – we would learn just how many times we do or do not do something because of unconscious fears and insecurities.
Locked away are our programmed emotions that are making our choices for us, rightly or wrongly. We must acknowledge our fears and feelings of insecurity by taking the time to make more conscious decisions.
Cheryl Richardson said “ We must all practice self care…….and make the time to do so. Time is a created thing. To say I DON’T HAVE TIME is like saying I DON’T WANT TO DO IT.”
