Always do your best……….be honest with yourself and others. Feelings buried never die. We may tell ourselves that if we can keep all those feelings under control, then we can get through whatever life has sent us. The problem is, those feelings are just below the surface of our being, and when we least expect them to, they show up in the present moment. You cannot will your bad feelings away. You have to speak about them, bring them out in to the light of day, and then somehow when we do that, they don’t seem so bad. As the healing begins we can begin to see a new way to be, a new way to think. As we treat those feelings with love and kindness.
After all the beginning of losing one’s misery comes through the resolution to get to know oneself. We must learn that any form of judgment is not love. It is resistance to the present moment and it will bring darkness. We will find ourselves stuck in the moment. Yet when we bring our feelings into the light, we take on a new perspective and with that comes a world of new possibilities. Feelings and the challenges they generate are presented to us so that we can choose love and turn away from negativity and blame. With every person you come in contact with, you are either giving love or you’re not, and you get what you give…….always.
Cheryl Strayed said “The whole deal about loving truly and for real and with all you’ve got has everything to do with letting those we love see us. Silence makes hard things harder than they need to be. It creates a secret you’re too beautiful to keep. Telling has a way of dispersing things.”
