You are enough……….always. There are times in our lives that we are brought to the very edge, one more step and we would be over the edge. It is so very difficult during our tough times to remember that we are enough. Whatever our struggle….however dismal the way ahead may seem. If we dig deep, if we find our way to the place where we are honest with ourselves, we can overcome our toughest moments. Time and again in your life you have proven this to yourself. The things that have met you on the path of your life journey have often seemed insurmountable, and yet, you made it through. You were enough.
As adults, it’s important to remember this and to use it every single day to remind ourselves of what is possible. The issue is, we do everything to avoid pain and to seek pleasure in our lives. We create our limiting beliefs. We pretend that we are ok with things when we’re not. We protect other people’s feelings but not our own. So today, reflect on how strong you are, how you are enough to make it through anything. Commit to being real and authentic and honest with yourself. How you move from your present state to your desired state is completely up to you, so don’t follow the path; clear a new one. You have everything you need to take your life journey on faith. You are indeed enough.
Cheryl Strayed said “Nobody will protect you from your suffering. You can’t cry it away or eat it away or starve it away or walk it away or punch it away or even therapy it away. It’s just there, and you have to survive it. You have to endure it. You have to live through it and love it and move on and be better for it and run as far as you can in the direction of your best dreams across the bridge that was built by your own desire to heal. Friends can help you along the way, but the genuine healing, the actual real-deal, down on your knees in the mud change is entirely and absolutely up to you.”
