Thought of the Day

Good Morning,

Happy Tuesday. Have a wonderful start to your week. Have a great day. Enjoy.

Always do your best…..strive for honesty, authenticity, and integrity in everything you do. There is no greater energy drain, than when we are being inauthentic. When we know we should be speaking but we’re silent. When we know what is happening is not ok, but we behave like it is. When we are not honest with ourselves about how we feel. When we are not committed to our authenticity and so we subjugate ourselves to try to fit in, and please. It takes the joy out of our life experience and it builds our stress to unhealthy levels. Being authentic means that along with honouring our truth, we have to be willing to be uncomfortable, scared,  and to lean into those feelings of vulnerability. Because, when we lose our tolerance for discomfort, we lose our joy.

We lose our sense of self. Ancient wisdom teaches us that the soul always knows what it has to do, the challenge is to quiet the mind. Ego will always tell you to fit in, to tell the story in such a way that you don’t bring any discomfort your way. True awareness, and your ability to listen to its wisdom is imperative to living authentically. Ultimately your health will rely on it, it will need you to be as close to your authentic self as you possibly can. These are the principles of the universe, and if you doubt them, if you do not honour your own values and truth, then you distance yourself from your own authenticity. You block joy, and abundance from entering. So be committed to living your truth. Let the world see you for who you truly are, and feel the joy. Be awake, and know that when we truly know and love ourselves, we always step into our power.

Brene Brown said “Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s about the choice to show up and be real. The choice to be honest. The choice to let our true selves be seen. Let go of who you think you’re supposed to be and embrace who you are. The courage to be imperfect, to set boundaries, and to allow ourselves to be vulnerable. Authenticity demands wholehearted living and loving, even when it’s hard. Mindfully, practicing authenticity during our most soul searching struggles is how we invite grace, joy, and gratitude into our lives.”
