Thought of the Day

Good Morning,

Happy Tuesday. Have an amazing day. Enjoy.

Today’s Challenge…..treat everyone with kindness today…..everyone.

Always do your best……connect authentically, with people. One of the things that we all share as human beings is the need to be respected, connected, and understood. When these needs are met we feel seen, heard, and alive; and in turn we engage with our communities and touch the hearts of those we spend our time with in life. This is the ritual of human kindness and it is how we build our relationships. It is important to remember that everything we do communicates….. because we teach those around us what behaviour is acceptable, with our own behaviour. So it is vital to our development that we look for ways to bring kindness into each and every day. That we model the behaviour that is most closely aligned to our values, and that we strive to bring our best to each interaction.

That also means that we must call foul, when people don’t treat us with the respect and caring that we deserve, or when people run out of integrity. Left unchecked, bad behaviour in others, leads us to subjugate ourselves. It forces us to accept what we know inherently is wrong. Never give yourself or your values away. We must stand in our power and use our voices when people seem to  be out of integrity and character. Doing nothing in these situations allows the bully to win because our silence always gives the win to the oppressor. Each one of us has the capacity to fill the world with sunshine and we also have the capacity to speak our truth when we need to call something out. Stay committed to balancing kindness and truth telling, and do not look for beauty in your life…..make life beautiful. One connection at a time.

Alfred Adler said “It is the individual who is not interested in their fellow human beings who has the greatest difficulties in life and provides the greatest injury to others. It is from among such individuals that all human failures spring. It is well known that those who do not trust themselves, do not trust others.”
