Thought of the Day

Good Morning,

Happy Wednesday. Have an amazing day. Enjoy.

Always do your best…..decide whether you will be a victim or a victor…..because life is short. Too short to spend our time worrying about things that might never happen. Too short to let temporary circumstances push our buttons and allow them to make our choices for us. Too short to let them change our moods and make us act out of character. You are in the driver seat, you get to decide how you will go out into the world, and how you will engage people. So we must lean in to our lives and be dedicated to living whole heartedly, and be so intrinsically connected to our values that they act as our guidance system. Our values allow us to establish boundaries; so that we can protect ourselves and others from moments of temper and despair.

They stop us from falling into the abyss of victim hood where nothing seems right, and once on that slippery slope it is as if everything is against us….primarily because we are acting against ourselves and our values. We have to practice our values, rather than just professing them. They are our force field, our safe place to go, our GPS for life. If we don’t embrace our values and instead choose to live as we are, then in essence we are embracing fear. Difficult times have taught us all how fleeting life is, how it is changed in a day, and how beautiful the blessing of life truly is when we find our way to gratitude. You have all you need to be victorious… is inside you waiting for you to call on your courage. Be brave, rise up strong, and start with the little things… got this!

Stephen R. Covey said “Leader or Victim – That’s essentially the choice we all face today. And more than ever before, there’s not much middle ground. Either we lead effectively in our businesses, our families, our communities, our personal lives, or we’re tossed about by the circumstances that surround us. If you are an effective manager of yourself, your discipline comes from within; it is a function of your independent will. You are a disciple, a follower of your own deep values and their source. And you have the will, the integrity, to subordinate your feelings, your impulses, your moods to those values.”
