Always do your best……when times are turbulent, have the courage to hang in there. To challenge yourself by asking “if I was 10% more courageous what would I do? Then do it. You already know that life has its peaks and valleys; you have found your way out of the valley more times than you can count. But you did it. You did it because you picked yourself up, dusted yourself off, and then you went back into the arena of life and made it through. There are times when our head and our hearts are in conflict with what we are experiencing. Primarily because as human beings we crave certainty, we want to know what is coming round the bend. We want to try and mitigate life’s sorrows and highlight the joys.
In our attempts to do this we often use avoidance as a strategy. We try to be emotionless and engineer our way through without feeling what we have to feel. We know change is messy in the beginning, but with that extra courage we can hang in until the magic starts to happen. The magic of transformation; a time when faced with our own truths, we must dig deeply and learn what we have to learn before we can go on and be what we need to be. Because once you start the transformation; there will be no stopping you. Once you allow yourself to feel vulnerable; you won’t run away from fear or failure, you will run towards them. With the courage that the act of daring greatly gives you. Remember, drama is a symptom of poor communication. So just like nature, find the calm after the storm, and make your decisions from that place. Namaste.
Brene Brown said “I want to be in the arena . I want to be brave with my life… and when we make the choice to dare greatly, we sign up to get our asses kicked. We can choose courage or we can choose comfort, but we can’t have both. Not at the same time. Vulnerability is not winning or losing. It’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome. Vulnerability is not weakness; it’s our greatest measure of courage.”
