Live fully in the present moment……….the time to do your best is now. Know anyone who says I’ll do that when I have achieved this; I’ll make a commitment to you when I have paid all my debt off, I will start a family once I have achieved financial success. All of those statements are promised land statements that hold us back from living are best lives now. They require something to happen before we can start living rather than making the commitment and setting the goal simultaneously.
At the root of people who live in the promised land is a fear of commitment, and so they hide behind lofty goals claiming they are unable to move forward, until………….and very often they live a life of existence, not one of excellence because moving their life forward is dependent on things that are sometimes out of their control. Failures most successful strategy is procrastination and so we must step back and examine all the excuses we give for not taking decisive and immediate action right now and remove them like barriers in the road. That way you won’t be getting ready to live…..you will be living your best life.
Robin Sharma said “Live fully now! Too many human beings postpone living. We say that we will live our best lives when we have more time or when we finish the pressing projects that are consuming us. We tell those around us that we will be more loving and passionate when things slow down. We promise that we will get into world-class physical condition and eat healthier food when we have a little more time. Yet, deep within us, each one of us knows that there will never be a better time to live our biggest life than now. And if not today, then when.”
