Thought for the Day ~ By Lisa Scott Life Coach

Do your best…….and remember you always have a choice about how you respond to the experiences in your life.  You can either be the victor or the victim when circumstances are not to your liking, but when you think of yourself as the victim, you will have difficulty in trusting yourself or anyone else.  When you are a victim, you have someone else to blame, someone to hold accountable for what happened.

As long as you stay in that feeling of being a victim you will not respond with choice, you will react in fear.  As long as you react in fear, you cannot trust.  Fear makes your reject good people, good conditions, and the opportunity to grow and to learn. If you allow one small occurrence to upset an entire day then you are giving into victim thinking and instead of seeing a bad choice…..you see a bad day ahead. So the next time life sends you a problem, remember you have a choice in how you respond and that is always where your power resides.

Robin Sharma observed “Of all the beautiful truths pertaining to the soul which have been restored and brought to light in this age, none is more gladdening and fruitful of divine promise and confidence than this – that you are the master of your thought, the molder of your character, and the maker and shaper of condition, environment and destiny.  Every one of us has so many more choices than we can currently see. Remember we see the world not as it is but as we are.”
