Always do your best…….to keep getting better. There are many different types of people in this world, but perhaps the two that stand out the most in social situations are the “complainer” and the “can do thinker.” The complainer looks for reasons why things won’t work, they cling to what they know and they bring their toxic thinking to every interaction. The complainer is in resistance to what is…..and because they are fearful of moving forward, nothing is ever good enough for them.
The can do thinker refuses to dwell on any un-resourceful thoughts or feelings, they search for empowering alternatives to seemingly impossible problems, they have personal discipline so they leave behind old patterns, and they fuel themselves with new ones, keeping the momentum going for themselves and for others.
So if you are a self-confident, positive thinking, individual, the decisions you make will be quite different than if you’re feeling vulnerable and fearful. Confidence ensures that our decision making is inclusive, it drives critical mass and so the energy affects everyone, bringing results instantly. While the fear based thinking of the complainer will stop the momentum in its tracks while they attend to one or two nay-sayer’s……….The rules we apply to life and relationships either help or hinder us…..what do your rules do?
Albert Einstein said “The human being experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest. A kind of optical delusion of our consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”
