Thought of the Day

Today’s Challenge ~ Slow down…. and condition your mind to think, see, then do; instead of do, see, think.

Always do your best…….between every thought we have a space. That space is your soul. It is vastly different than your ego. It does not compete, it does not have to be right. It simply is…..and when you connect with that space, it is as if you have awakened for the first time. It gently reminds you that you already have everything you need, within you, to live your best life. That space helps us to realize that we can replace fear with wonder, that although life can be challenging, being alive is an amazing thing. In pursuit of life’s dreams, we sometimes forget to be grateful for the simple pleasures that life affords us. Like a beautiful sunny day, the freshness after the rain, the smiles of those we love, and the pure joy we derive from being present. Mindfulness is a gift that we can give to ourselves daily. A place where we can pause and let our thoughts catch up and then gently let them go.

A life consumed by thoughts, busyness, and fears never realizes its potential. It has no space to think, to breathe, or to see. But when we can be in the space between our thoughts…we can learn to appreciate the gift of time. There is no greater gift we can give to ourselves and each other, than our time.  The soul knows that instead of chasing time we are always free to offer it to those we love and care for. So much turmoil is created by those who insist on taking you out of yourself, while the tranquility we seek resides in that space between our thoughts. For in peaceful and serene moments we can find our way home. We can find our way back to living a wholehearted life.  One where we know that happiness is not a goal, it is a side effect of living your life with absolute awareness. Namaste

Michael Beckwith said “Everyone is spiritual whether they know it or not. When I consider what it means to be spiritual, I consider the fact that individuals are waking up to a dimension of their being or their soul. It is the most real part of us. When one begins to really feel the spiritual dimension of their being, they bump into love. They bump into compassion. They bump into beauty. They bump into real peace and real joy. And that begins to be where they live their life from, real, authentic beings that have a tremendous amount of meaning in their life.”
