Always do your best……..few things raise the human spirit more than the desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Even at work we have the opportunity to touch the lives of those we work with in a positive way. To do this we must engage their hearts and minds, there must be infinite trust, and a willingness to make each day brilliant because of how we move through it. Anything that makes us more than we are; makes us strive for excellence, improves us, challenges us, excites us in a good way, makes us rise to our best nature, and brings us into the sunshine, will introduce us to our best selves. Encouraging that kind of environment where we work and play engages people and motivates them to do their best.
To get the most out of life, we have to be open to the possibilities. That means we need to keep our thinking and our lives flexible. Flexible thinking is mental martial art….you have to duck and weave, dodge and flow. Try to see life’s challenges not as the enemy but as a friendly sparring partner. If you are flexible you’ll have fun. If you stand your ground you’re likely to get knocked around a bit. Finding the greater good, understanding the impact that your work and play can have on others is enlightening. After all one of the marks of true greatness is to develop greatness in others.
