Always expect the best from yourself…….the degree to which you will achieve success is directly related to how much you actually love and believe in yourself. As we begin the first week in this New Year – it is so easy to ramp up really fast and very quickly get back into the same schedules and habits that we stepped back from at the end of 2012.
It is true that the end of a year is always a good time to reflect, review, and commit to new actions, set new priorities and to get focused about the opportunity to begin anew with a new year. We need to remember that our days afford us the same choices; just because one moment is not good does not mean that the whole day is a write off. Every new moment, every new day is just that, a new beginning, and a chance to make different choices that are more in line with what we want for ourselves.
The single biggest responsibility that we all have is to be absolutely accountable for who we are, and where we are going. By setting personal goals and working daily to achieve them, we take responsibility for our own destiny. Part of maturing is choosing to be around people who have a positive impact on us, who make us want to be better, who support that we must make our lives by choice, not by chance. Robin Sharma said “Mediocrity is a mindset. Avoid the mental viruses of negative people.”
